His surviving letter to the Philippians preserves evidence of early Christian teaching and the circulation of Ignatius’s letters.[^1][^2][^3]08Pope Peter IPope Peter I, seventeenth patriarch of Alexandria (300–311), is traditionally called the “Seal of the Martyrs” and is commemorated on 29 Hatur.[^1][^2]09Saint Anthony the GreatSaint Anthony the Great, also known as Antony of Egypt, was a third–fourth-century hermit traditionally called the “Father of the Monks.” His feast day is 22 Tubah.[^1]10Saint John the ShortSaint John the Short, also called John Colobos, was a fourth–fifth-century Desert Father associated with Scetis, remembered especially for his humility and spiritual guidance.[^1][^5]
